The Ch8se Trifecta -Ch. 36

Chapter 35 ch8sers will meet promptly at 7:00a.m., at Publix, 1625 Pleasant Hill Rd #200, Duluth, GA 30096.  

We will depart Publix, promptly at 7:15a.m. for the two hour caravan drive to our ch8se destination.  

This adventure will take us to three separate waterfalls.  The first two locations are easy, you will not need hiking poles for the first two.  The third location is mild to moderate and will require your hiking stick or pole.  

Chapter 35 will be led by a friend of the family, who we will meet on the way to Dry Falls.  Rod Cummings is an avid hiker, an adventurer and a professional chef.  He has volunteered to introduce us to these three beauties, which he has personally explored.

Our ch8se adventures will begin at Dry Falls, followed by Bridal Veil Falls and finishing at Glen Falls, all in North Carolina.  

The drive to the first waterfall will be 1.5 - 2hrs from the meet up.

The ch8se itself will take roughly an hour to two hours, depending on how we #embr8cethech8se.

I recommend you bringing a dry towel, top, and/or jacket.  Dry falls will afford an opportunity for us to get extremely close with the (optional) potential to get wet.

You will need to pack a lunch and adequate hydration.  Bring an empty plastic bag for your trash.  We practice the the rule of thumb to leave no trace.  Whatever you bring in, you take out.  Pack a small cooler with snacks, ice and extra water for the trip there and back.

You will need hiking boots, and hiking poles, as well as a backpack with hiking essentials, and emergency medication.

Dress appropriately.  Layers are recommended.

I recommend you download the RoadiD app and have your emergency contacts identified and with you via the app or paper, sealed in a plastic bag, in your backpack.
