Ch8se Ch.51 - Saturday, 10.09.21

Chapter 51 ch8sers will meet promptly at 6:45a.m., at Publix, 1625 Pleasant Hill Rd #200, Duluth, GA 30096.

We will depart Publix, promptly at 7:15a.m. for the two hour caravan drive to our ch8se destination.

This adventure will take us to several separate waterfalls.  The ch8se will take us to Glenn Falls with stops along the way to embr8ce Bridal Veil, Calasaja, Bust Ya Butt Falls, and Dry Falls.  Portions of this ch8se are mild to moderate and will require your hiking stick or pole.  Our Ch8se Champion AyJay is lead on this ch8se.

The ch8se itself will take roughly an two to three hours depending on how we #embr8cethech8se.  We never rush the embr8ce and never leave a ch8ser behind.

I recommend you bringing a dry towel, top, and/or jacket for after the ch8se.  Dry falls will afford an opportunity for us to get extremely close with the potential to get wet.  Dress for the weather.  Layers are recommended.

You will need to pack a lunch and adequate hydration.  Please pack a sandwich or a wrap that is easy to manage in your backpack.  You will need to hike in with your lunch, as we plan to have lunch at the waterfall.  Pack ground cover or a light weight chair for lunch.  This hike is downhill to the waterfall and uphill back.  Keep this in mind when packing.  Pack light.  Also, bring an empty plastic bag for your trash.  We always practice the leave no trace principles.  Whatever you bring in, you take out.  Pack a small cooler with snacks, ice and extra water for the trip there and back.

You will need hiking boots, and hiking poles, as well as a backpack with hiking essentials, and emergency medication.

I recommend you download the RoadiD app and have your emergency contacts identified and with you via the app or paper, sealed in a plastic bag, in your backpack.
