About the Event
Rise & Shine Ch8sers. Â Yep, it is early, early, but guess what. Â All we have to do is drive. Â The horses will do the rest.
We are headed to the Smokemont Riding Stables.
Meet up is at 5:15 a.m. Â We are leaving Publix, 1625 Pleasant Hill Rd #200, Duluth, GA 30096, PROMPTLY at 5:30 a.m. No exceptions. Â Sis, You will get left!! Â We have a 8:30 reservation which requires an 8:00 arrival of the entire group.
Of course we are doing the Waterfall Ride — The 2.5-hour ride, you ride for a mile above the Smokemont Campground. Then you ride alongside mountain streams until you reach the Chasteen Creek Waterfall.Â
You dismount for approximately 15 minutes to view the waterfall. *Note: The Chasteen Creek Waterfall is the waterfall playing in the video on this page. Departure Times: 9:00 a.m.
Smokemont Riding Stables, FAQ: Â http://smokemontridingstable.com/faq/ ** The maximum weight to ride a horse is no more than 225 lbs.
The cost of the ride is $105 payable at registration, and non-refundable after May 21, 2024 at noon.
*We now offer the opportunity to pay later using affirm at checkout.
If you wish to join us an not ride, there is an option to hike to the waterfall as well. Â That ticket price is FREE with a signed Smokemont waiver.
I recommend you wear long pants, jeans or leggins to be most comfortable while riding the horse. Â
If you have a Ch8se tee or tank, please wear it, and put on your horse riding gear, if you like, I'm wearing my cowboy boots. Â Â
I recommend a light jacket or denim shirt for the cool, shaded areas on the trail.
There is no need to pack hiking poles, or hiking boots, (unless you are walking the trail) the horses will do all of the work. Â When we reach the waterfalls, there will be a small window of about 15mins to enjoy its beauty. Â You may want a small backpack with snacks and hydration.Â
Definitely bring any emergency medicine you may require.
Pack your lunch. Â We will find a spot to enjoy our reflections outside.
