About the Event

We will meet at 6:45 am at 1625 Pleasant Hill Rd Ste 200, Duluth, GA 30096 with a 9:30 arrival at the trailhead.

This is an *easy-moderate, out & back, 1.5miles hike, with a 216ft elevation gain. The trail is marked with white blazes. It intersects with the Foothills Trail (orange blazes) at a narrow wooden bridge. The trail is narrow and very rooty in several areas, so one must watch their footing. After crossing the wooden bridge, the trail turns left and parallels a rushing creek on the left. We will climb over/under down trees and rocks to reach the 70-foot King Creek Falls. At the falls, there are rock outcrops and a shallow wading pool at its base.

What does easy-moderate mean?

*Easy: Suitable for those in fair physical condition; active walker; 1-3hr duration; slightly uneven terrain; <1000ft elevation gain.

*Moderate/Intermediate: Suitable for those in good physical condition; active/endurance walker; 3+hr duration; 1000-1500ft elevation gain

There is limited parking at this location, carpooling is recommended.

There is a pit toilet.

There is no visitors center.
