Ch. 61 - Issa Vibe Tribe Adventure

Meet us at 7:00 am at Ingles Supermarket at 5055 Cherokee Street, Acworth, GA 30101 to join the caravan as we journey to Alabama together with the Ch8sing Waterfalls Vibe Tribe leading this Ch8se.

Our planned arrival is 9:00 am at Noccalula Falls Park, 1600 Noccalucca Rd, Gasden AL, 35904-3334 (34.0415° N, 86.0211° W)

There is no entrance / parking fee.

There is a visitor's center and a restroom on site.

The trail distance is a 2.9 mile loop and rated Moderate/Intermediate: Suitable for those in good physical condition; active/endurance walker; 3+hr duration; 1000-1500ft elevation gain

Black Creek Trail is a 2.9 loop considered moderately challenging with varying terrain - gravel, roots and boulders. With an elevation gain of 370 ft the waterfall can be experienced from the top of the falls or for an even more breath-taking view - a walk down the gorge and behind the falls.  

For lunch, there is a small covered picnic table area, however depending on the size of the group we can sit in the shaded grassy area in front of the parking lot adjacent to the Chapel. 

Participants can bring ground cover, blankets or chairs to sit on. Also bring good snacks as we will stop at a designated location and eat to fuel ourselves for the climb. *

What to Bring

All attendees should bring:  

Hiking boots or sturdy bottom shoes (waterproof if you have)   

    *(We have a lending library of boots, if you need to borrow a pair.  Check out at registration.)

Rain jacket/poncho   

Trekking poles (optional but recommended)   

Packable lunch + 2L+ water   

Essential medications + first-aid items (insect bite/sting/itch ointment, pain relief)   

Bug spray   

Personal items like female urinal (like Freshette), Kula Cloth or wipes.  

You must "pack out" what you bring in.   

External, backup phone charger   

Other comfort items.
