Our Story

Loss led me to the woods - the water, the trees, the quiet truth of just being. Through my own journey with grief, I turned to nature for the healing I could not find anywhere else. Each step opened a new chapter in my life, inviting peace where pain once lived. That walk became a calling: to open this same path of emotional healing, freedom, and sisterhood for Black and Brown women longing for belonging in the outdoors. In 2017, Ch8sing Waterfalls was born out of this lived experience and deep purpose. Here, our joy lives in every story of transformation - women finding strength, care, and community together amongst cascading waterfalls, sunlight, and growth. Nearly a decade later, this community has become a living movement - one where every woman is invited to Release, Ch8se, Heal, and Embr8ce The Ch8se in her own way. If you have ever wondered if nature could change your life, know that you are seen, welcomed, and needed in this journey. Step in and feel what it means to be wholly yourself, loved, and held in a true sisterhood - one adventure at a time.

Our Mission & Impact

Ch8sing Waterfalls stands for healing, empowerment, and representation rooted in nature. Since 2017, we have been reshaping what it means for Black and Brown women to truly feel at home outdoors, opening trails to sisterhood and personal transformation across Atlanta and beyond. Our approach goes deeper than hiking - we craft culturally responsive outdoor spaces, informed by lived experience and supported by impactful credentials in wellness and safety. Each program, retreat, and gathering is created for belonging, growth, and deep connection. Over the years, our movement has led to over 100 guided hikes, the creation of books and wellness tools, and recognition including the Delta Sigma Theta Community Award, REI grant, and WW Wellness Impact Award. By choosing to walk with us, you step into a purpose-filled journey - amplifying your voice, your healing, and the collective power of #BrownFacesInGreenSpaces. Come Embr8ce The Ch8se and help us keep building spaces where every woman rises together.
